MolokaBRA Downwind 2025
Following the event, the MolokaBRA Downwind 2025 will take place. The MolokaBRA Downwind is a prestigious paddlesports competition in Ceará, Brazil, featuring various canoeing disciplines and international participation. More information attached above or head to the event instagram here:
Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday 15th August at 7pm
Culture Night
A culture night will take place on Monday 18th August in the evening.
Anti-Doping
The IVF anti-doping policy is available on our website here: Anti-Doping. Any paddler who is participating in the World Distance Championship and is 18 years old or older, may be subject to in-competition drug testing. Even if you have submitted a TUE for a previous IVF event a new form is required each year. Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) forms are due to the IVF Medical Committee by 24 May 2025. TUE Forms can be downloaded from our website above.

Personal floatation devices (PFDs)
It is a CBVAA requirement that life jackets or personal flotation devices (PFD) are worn while on the water and while racing in V6 and V1 events for all paddlers. In accordance with our IVF Race Rules, all safety equipment must comply with the local regulations applicable and in force at the date of the race. For the 2025 IVF World Distance Championship, PFDs will be mandatory to be worn while racing and paddling at all times in V6 and V1 for all paddlers.
