International Va’a Federation Membership Application Process
The IVF allows one member per country or territory to represent the paddlers of va'a within the country or territory. Please review the IVF bylaws prior to completing the application to ensure the applicant meets the requirements for membership.
Prepare the following documents to send with the application:
The IVF allows one member per country or territory to represent the paddlers of va'a within the country or territory. Please review the IVF bylaws prior to completing the application to ensure the applicant meets the requirements for membership.
Prepare the following documents to send with the application:
- the name of the national governing body
- a letter of support from a government or sports organization who can confirm or verify that the applicant is the national governing body
- a copy of your constitution, charter or bylaws
- membership and va’a race calendar
- organisational structure
- information regarding your legal status (including a copy of its certificate of incorporation or similar legal document under which it has been established)

- The application shall be reviewed by the Board who shall take into consideration the status of the applicant and the sport of Va’a in the country or territory.
- Approval of the application shall be by way of ordinary resolution by the Board. Membership shall be confirmed once the applicant has paid the required membership fees.
